How it started...
QUOTiENT Consulting was started on a whiteboard in Shantel’s living room. She was trying to craft a formula that would explain to her 10 year old daughter why she didn’t need three extra hours of ‘fun’, when 5 hours of ‘fun’ had already been allocated for her summer schedule. After breaking the day into 4 areas, health (sleeping, eating, hygiene), learning, fun and family time, it became obvious to her daughter that her request for three extra hours would result in trade-offs that she was unwilling to make. After a mini celebration for the win against her pre-tween, Shantel began to wonder how she could get leaders to understand the importance of prioritizing inputs when resources are finite.
